The short version
Shipmunks is a set of articles. There are no accounts, no sign-up forms, no comments and no advertising trackers. We count visits with Google Analytics so we know which posts help.
What happens when you visit
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare receives your IP address and browser details to deliver the page and protect it from abuse, and keeps standard request logs. It may also set a strictly necessary cookie when it has to check that a visitor is not a bot. Fonts and images come from shipmunks.dev itself, so loading a page makes no requests to other companies apart from Google Analytics.
Analytics
Google Analytics 4 records the pages you view, roughly where you are, your device type and how you arrived, using a first-party cookie. We use it only to see which posts are read. You can block it with any content blocker or with Google’s opt-out add-on, and the site works the same.
Links to other sites
Posts link to sources and tools on other websites, including ContextBolt, which is made by the same team. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
